The Ship2Shore program offers the opportunity to connect with the NorthEast Pacific Deep Exploration Project (NEPDEP) during their at-sea expedition studying the deep sea in the NorthEast Pacific. NEPDEP is a collaboration between coastal First Nations (Council of the Haida Nation, Nuu-chah-nulth Tribal Council), government (Fisheries and Oceans Canada), academia (UVic), and non-profit (Ocean Networks Canada and Royal BC Museum).
Using video conferencing, the audience will connect live with scientists and ship crew to discuss ocean science, technology, and life at sea. The at-sea team will share the excitement of recent discoveries and give a short tour of the ship. Come share in the excitement of studying the deep sea and ask your questions directly to our experts!
