On The Road – Williams Lake and Region

This second week of the 2024/25 OTR School year continues the work done in the region the week prior and last season visiting more schools in the Cariboo Region around Williams Lake.

Science World will bring the traveling road show to schools in the Cariboo region over two weeks this October. The team will visit sixteen elementary schools total from SD 27 as well as some independent and First Nations Schools Association schools in the region.

Last year OTR presented at seven elementary schools in Williams Lake and so will ensure the remaining schools in town plus more further afield get a visit. On this tour, the team will visit elementary schools in Williams Lake, Big Lake Ranch, Likely, Horsefly, Chilanko Forks and Alexis Creek.

Science World’s fantastic On The Road program brings fun, high-energy live demonstrations and activities to communities all around the province that pique science curiosity, boost science literacy and inspire future science and technology leaders. Learn more about the meaningful impact On The Road makes across BC!

Thanks to our donors, we are able to visit schools across BC at no charge. Special thanks to tour partner Drax for their support in reaching schools across Williams Lake and the region.
