Welcome to After Dark: Rock, Paper, Science, where you can unleash your competitive side, learn some interesting science, and let loose like it’s recess all over again. Oh, and yes—alcohol will be available for purchase.

Rock: The Big Ore-Deal

Components in your phone, laptop, and smart home devices started as a rock. Trace everyday tech back to its rock and mineral roots at the Big Ore-Deal exhibit.

Paper: Physics in Flight

Can you out-engineer the competition with the ultimate paper plane? Aim, launch, and see who lands the closest to the target for a chance to win prizes!

Science: Centre Stage Shows

Step into a world of wonder with electrifying lie science shows at Centre Stage! Relive the thrill of discovery, and if you’re lucky, you might even get to join the action in a live experiment.

Rock Paper Scissors Championship

Luck or logic? Instinct or strategy? Battle your way through a high-stakes Rock Paper Scissors tournament using game theory, psychology, and split-second reflexes. Will you be crowned champion?

Be cutting-edge, rock out, and go the distance at the first-ever Rock, Paper, Science After Dark! Whether you’re here to dominate or just have fun, one thing’s for sure: this is competition at best: no consequences, all fun.

At After Dark, You Can Also…

  • Fuel up at the Snack Lab and Triple O’s with snacks and food worthy of a champion 
  • Explore our permanent galleries and satisfy your curiosity in the newest feature exhibition: Extreme Sports: Beyond Human Limits, presented by White Spot Restaurants. Plus, enjoy free admission to Spectacle, a National Geographic photography exhibition, presented by OmniVita.
  • Take home a keepsake from the Science Store, because every victory deserves a souvenir.

  • After Dark is 19+—an evening for grown-ups to play, compete, and let loose. 
  • Tickets are Limited! Get yours before they sell out. Early Bird: $34.95 | Regular $39.95
  • All Sales Final. No reschedules or refunds—handle your ticket like a rare collectible.   
  • Doors Open at 6pm. There’s plenty of exciting activities, so make sure you’ve got time to go the distance.
  • Security Checks at the entrance will keep the night smooth, fun, and competition-ready.
