Art Displays
We’re incredibly proud of the art that hangs on the walls of Science World. As you enter the building, take a moment to experience the featured works by local artists who use their brushes, pencils, cameras, and code to tell stories about science and nature.
BodyWorks Gallery
The BodyWorks Gallery celebrates diversity and all the wonderful things that make each of us unique. Come learn all about how your body works, from the largest organ (your skin!) to the microscopic chromosomes that contribute to genetic diversity. We’re all different, and the BodyWorks Gallery celebrates exactly that.

Squeals of delight fill the air as you move from station to station dancing on drums, launching parachutes, floating balls down the fantastic water table, and making music by waving your hands over multi-coloured lights.

Come learn about the scientific process in the most hands-on way possible: by being part of it! In our Living Lab, an exciting partnership between Science World and the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia, researchers lead infants, older children, and adolescents through fun, age-appropriate activities designed to measure aspects of their cognitive development.

Tinkering Space: The WorkSafeBC Gallery
Tinkering Space: The WorkSafeBC Gallery is your place to put things together, take them apart again, and nurture the problem-solving part of your brain. Do some experimental construction with Strawbees, or see if you can put together a load stable enough to stay together when you slide it down a ramp. We also offer daily tinkering programming and Maker Workshops.
TD Environmental Trail
The TD Environmental Trail loops around the exterior of Science World with free-to-the-public exhibits that delve into the most pressing local issues in transportation, food, water, and waste. Take a moment to learn about our world while enjoying False Creek’s scenic views and ocean-fresh air. Be sure to snap a selfie with Garbozilla (you’ll know him when you see him)!
Wonder Gallery
Play-based learning is so important for kids! Whether your child is still crawling, already playing with blocks, or at the age when they want to clamber up any tall structure they see, the highly interactive, 3,300-square-foot Wonder Gallery has a place for them. We have soft crawling spaces; a tall rope-climbing structure; an interactive space where you and your child can play with engaging materials; multi-coloured blocks that your child can use to create a kaleidoscope; the ever popular water table; and a mess pit, for that satisfying family building experience.
